Cambodia Airways to launch operations on July 10, 2018

Cambodia Airways (Phnom Penh) is a new airline in Cambodia. The new carrier received its first aircraft, an Airbus A319, on May 25, 2018. The first flight will be launched on July 10, 2018. Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville (3 flights per week) and Phnom Penh to Siem Reap (daily) are the first domestic routes.

The new airline will start international flights on July 21, 2018 from Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville to Macau.

Cambodia Airways Co., Ltd (KR), 100 percent owned by Prince International Airlines Co., Ltd. (PIA), is a pure Cambodian Airline invested by a Cambodian private investor. Cambodia Airways is registered in Phnom Penh with paid-up capital of 200 million US dollars.

In August 2017, Cambodia Airways achieved the Initial Principle Approval from the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and in September 2017, received the Certificate of incorporation from MOC. In November 2017, finished the pre-application EOAC meeting. Now Cambodia Airways is preparing the SOA meeting and planning to come into commercial operation in the first half year of 2018.

The main operating bases of Cambodia Airways are in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanouk Ville. Cambodia Airways plans to acquire 20 A320 family aircraft within the next five years. Operating both Schedule and Charter flights from the Kingdom of Cambodia to other Southeast Asia Countries, Korea, Japan, mainland China, and the regions of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Generally expanding the intercontinental routes to Australia and Europe. All those route plans are included in our 5 year strategy to build a comprehensive network.

Cambodia Airways in the name of Cambodia, choosing Angkor Temple which is the iconic building of the Kingdom of Cambodia as the logo, designed into the auspicious clouds with Cambodian characteristics. All of these refers to that Cambodia Airways will be a flying envoy for the Kingdom of Cambodia, to communicate the culture, human character and traditions of it. Cambodia Airways will promote communication and economic development with other countries.
