Boeing 747-400F VQ-BWT engine parts falls on the village of Meerssen near Maastricht

Boeing 747-400F VQ-BWT (msn 24975) departed from Maastricht Aachen Airport on February 20. The aircraft was operated by Longtail Aviation as flight LGT5504 bound for New York (JFK).

The freighter suffered an engine failure and parts landed in the village of Meerssen. Engine blades damaged several cars. The aircraft landed safely. There were no reported injuries.
