Surinam Airways has become a new Boeing 777-200 ER operator.
Formerly with Singapore Airlines as 9V-SVL, Boeing 777-212 ER, registered as PZ-TCU (msn 32336), arrived in Paramaribo on December 20, 2019.
The new type will be assigned to the Paramaribo – Amsterdam route.
The new Boeing 777 replaces Airbus A340-300s which were formerly operated on the route. PT-TCR operated the last A340 revenue flight on October 27, 2019 (PY 994 PBM-AMS). Surinam was previously wet-leasing a Boeing 77-200 from Privilege Style.
